About Rogoznica
Rogoznica is a small tourist and fishing resort in the historic landscape of Dalmatia in southern Croatia. The city is protected in a deep bay between Split and Šibenik on the Adriatic coast. Rogoznica has 2,391 inhabitants, of which 96 percent are Croatians according to the census in 2001. The city is mainly located on a smaller island, Kopara, which is connected to the mainland. The main industries are fishing. The part of the city that is located on the mainland was already populated in 1390. In 1518, the inhabitants fled before the Ottoman army to the island.
